YMWELD A’R CARCHAR
NEGES GAN BENNAETH GWASANAETHAU TEULU
HMP & YOI Parc has, over the fourteen years developed a specific strategy and model of family support services that we believe make a clear positive impact on residents in our care, their children, family and significant others.
Rydym wedi ymrwymo i ddarparu gwasanaeth teuluol orau bosib i’r unigolion sydd ei fuyaf ac rydym yn ymdrechu i sicrhau bod pob ymwelwyr a’r unigolion yn ein gofal yn cael y budd mwyaf o phob ymweliad. Rydyn yn croeso adborth rheolaidd gan bawb sydd yn cymryd rhan er mwyn cynnal y safonau uchel yn barhaus.
Yn sylfaenol, rydym yn cydnabod bod gennym ni rhwymedigaeth broffesiynol a moesol I’w gefnogi, canllaw, a helpu pawb yn ein dalfa o ran ei deulu, rhianta, a sefyllfa perthynas ble mae’n ddiogel a phriodol i wneud hynny. Yn yr un modd, mae gan yr hyn a gallwn ni i’w gwneud effaith cadarnhaol a’r plant a teuluoedd yn y gymdeithas.
Mae ein strategaeth a model Ymyrraeth Teulu wedi eu hadeiladu ar ben canlyniadau ymchwil gan academyddion Prydeinig, elusennau, y Gwasanaeth Carchar, y Weinyddiaeth Cyfiawnder, a chyrff Gwleidyddol eraill, yn ogystal â nifer o gyhoeddiadau tebyg gan sefydliadau a phartneriaid rhyngwladol.
Yn benodol, rydym wedi alinio’n agos gyda:
- Yr 19 argymhelliad o Adolygiad yr Arglwydd Farmer 2017
- Yr 46 disgwyliadau i blant a teuluoedd gan Arolygiad Ei Mawrhydi o Garcharorion (EMoC) 2017

DETAILS OF VISITS BOOKINGS
Prisoners are responsible for booking their own visits; this is done by using an application on the Central Management System (CMS) – accessed via touchscreen computer terminals that are located on each unit in the establishment. Once a visit has been approved it is up to the individual prisoner to inform his family and friends of the date and time of the visit.
– The maximum time a visit can be booked is 14 days in advance and the minimum is 3 days in advance.
– Prisoners can book up to 3 adult visitors per session and 3 children less than 10 Years of age. However, if the child is over 10 they will be classed as an adult.
– It is the responsibility of the prisoner to book and inform friends and family of the time and date of visits.
– Staff are not responsible for booking or informing family and friends of visits or cancellation of visits.
– It is also the responsibility of the prisoner to inform visitors of correct identification requirements as well as other visit regulations.

- Secure video calls
Secure video calling is available, family and friends will need to download the Purple Visits app, create an account, register all visitors and add the prisoner to their contact list.
- Phone calls
Prisoners have phones in their cells but these do not accept incoming calls. They are able to make calls every day between 6:30am and 11pm. They have to buy phone credits to do this.
They can phone anyone named on their list of friends and family. This list is checked by security when they first arrive so it may take a few days before they are able to call.
You can also exchange voicemails using the Prison Voicemail service.
Officers may listen to phone calls as a way of preventing crime and helping keep people safe.
You can send emails to someone in HMP Parc using the Email a Prisoner service.
You are also able to attach photos and receive replies from the prisoner.
- Lthyrau
You can write at any time. Please Include the person’s name and prisoner number on the envelope. If you do not know their prisoner number, please use Prisoner finder:
Use the Prisoner Location Service to find people in prison when you do not know which prison they are in. The prisoner must give their permission for their information to be shared, unless you belong to certain organisations such as the police or a solicitors’ firm. You can only use this service to find someone in an English or Welsh prison. findaprisoner@justice.gov.uk
Include as much of the following as you can:

- do not have a debit card
This will allow you to send money by post.
- Gifts and parcels
Prisoners at HMP Parc are given a list of approved items that can be sent to them under certain circumstances. A prisoner can apply to receive a clothing parcel either sent in or handed in on a visit within the first 28 days following conviction. This needs to be approved before items can be sent in.
You can also send books directly to loved ones, or can order books from approved retailers, which can source and send the books on to prisoners. For the full list of approved retailers, you can read the HMPPS Incentives Policy, Annex F.
Make sure to include the prisoner’s name and prisoner number on any delivery.
All parcels will be opened and checked by officers.
